Donaldson began posting videos to YouTube in the early months of 2012 at 13 years old under the name "MrBeast6000" and his initial videos ranged from "Let's Plays" to "videos which estimated the wealth of other YouTubers." After his 2017 "Counting to 100,000" video garnered tens of thousands of views in a matter of days, Donaldson was a YouTube sensation.
